About Us

The Aucamp Boer Goat Stud was established in 2020, which makes it one of the more recent projects of the Aucamp Farming family. Here, we aim to breed Boer goats for stud and commercial purposes. In this way, we ensure quality food production and long-term sustainability through the generations.

We have made every effort to find quality rams. Our mission is to breed Boer goats according to the standards of the SA Boer Goat Association (SABGA).

We invested in quality rams with good pedigree, which came from various breeders across South Africa. The ewes were selected on the criteria of the SABGA. Today, Aucamp Boerbokstoet has 300 ewes and a number of hand-picked rams for selective breeding.

The Farm

The Boer goats are farmed on two separate farms, not far from each other. The farms, Bergplaas and VV2, are situated in the Lindleyspoort area between Rustenburg and the small farming town of Swartruggens.

Although we farm in a very tough area regarding heartwater and other diseases, we’ve found that the goats have adapted very well to our area’s conditions over time.

Winters are always a tough time of the year. We are privileged to be situated in the Lindleyspoort Waterscheme, which enables us to plant pastures under irrigation pivots to ensure that we keep our goats in good condition.

As with all of the Aucamp Farming projects, we put the well-being and happiness of our animals first.

We are extremely exited about this project!
